Dr. Shanyn Lancaster Joins Synergy Health 360
Synergy Health 360 continues to add exceptionally talented physicians and wellness providers to our growing team, and we are very excited to announce that Shanyn Lancaster, MD, will begin seeing patients in July 2021 out of our clinical location in Scottsdale, AZ. (view her profile)
“Dr. Lancaster is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine, and she provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages,” said Dr. Jim Dearing of Synergy Health 360. “I’ve been the team doctor for Thunderbird High School for years, and I understand what it takes to be a fan of the game and the care provider as well. We couldn’t be happier to be working with her and the unique experience and knowledge of sports medicine she brings to our integrated care model.”

As the former Head Team Physician & Chief of Sports Medicine for Arizona State University, and Big Ten gymnast with nearly 20 years in the sport, Dr. Lancaster has special interest in treating athletes of every sport level but really enjoys working with the young adult population and educating patients about sports related care.
“It’s amazing to have a primary care physician that’s also been an accomplished athlete in collegiate sports,” added Dr. Dearing. “The authenticity in how Dr. Lancaster can understand common ailments and communicate with young athletes and their parents, or athletes of all ages, is really remarkable. And this includes care, treatment and follow ups that can be conducted via telemedicine appointments.”
Dr. Lancaster’s extensive experience in sports medicine also includes: PGA Championships, Final Four and NCAA tournaments, the Detroit Tigers baseball organization, Marquette University, multiple colleges, varsity high school sports, and dance organizations.
Dr. Lancaster completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine through Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan after training at the Columbia-St. Mary’s family medicine residency program in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan and attended the University of Minnesota, where she majored in finance and pre-medicine.
